Richard asks…

What can I expect from taking a prenatal yoga class?

I plan on starting a prenatal yoga class this weekend. It’s been a long while since I practiced yoga so this is exciting. I am also really interested to know from those who have taken prenatal yoga classes on how they feel it helped them in labor and in general. I don’t know if this info is helpful but I am embarking on my 2nd trimester.

Critique answers:

I am 37 weeks now and my class has ended, but I took a prenatal yoga class once a week throughout all of my second trimester and into my third. It was worth it. I found it kept me a lot more flexible and reduced the hip and back pain. I also slept a lot better after I did the class. I’m hoping that it will help me with labor, since many of the poses I was taught were designed to stretch and open the tail bone/sacrum area of the pelvis.

David asks…

Anyone know of good Yoga classes in the Claremont, La Verne, San Dimas, or Glendora, California areas?

Or somewhere to find them?

Thanks
Free is nice and thanks for the info, but Playa Vista is pretty far for me to be able to go regularly. There was one I had attended in Claremont once. But a back injury kept me from going back and I’ve lost the info.

Critique answers:

I take Diamond Dallas Page’s YRG Workout in Playa Vista, CA. It is yoga based and he added in other exercise movements to tone your body. Best of all the class is FREE! Directions and info in the link below. Good Luck.
